    Google has a set of quality guidelines for the webmasters and if you are serious about ranking your site well, you are going to make sure that you abide by these guidelines to the last detail. These guidelines try to warn website owners of all types of malpractices that try to deceive the users as well as the search engines. If you engage in any manipulative practices you can get your site banned by Google, which attracts almost 80% of the online users. All the quality guidelines are geared towards providing quality online experience for the website owners.

    Google recommends that you create web pages for users and not search engines because it is the users of your website who is going to benefit from your website, they should get what they need in your website, and it is not the search engines that are going to benefit from your services or products. Search engines are just platforms that bring your website to the user and in order to provide the users with the right kind of information, search engines use their own algorithms. Therefore, your website should not be developed to please the search engines but the users.

    Google’s quality guidelines, clearly stipulate not to take part in any link schemes that are specifically created to increase your website’s ranking. If you are found to be associated with bad neighborhoods online then your website may lose its ranking. You must be careful about who you are linking to.

    If you are contemplating sneaky redirects then you must start thinking of other approaches that will not put your site to trouble. Your website shall not have any hidden text or any hidden links. If you do not have something for your website users then you should not have it in your website. If you have hidden text it is not going to be viewed by users but it is put their precisely for the search engines and this gives a good reason for Google to remove you from its listings. So going against quality guidelines is equivalent to going against your own interests.

    Another important quality guideline from Google is not to load your pages with keywords that are not relevant to a particular page. The best way to approach this problem is to be natural with the content. Your website’s content is what talks to your website visitors and it tells them what you have to offer them. When you use irrelevant keywords in your website and add too much of keyword stuffed content then it is going to degrade the user experience. This will in turn get your website’s ranking pulled down.

    Filling the web space with duplicate content is totally against Google’s quality guidelines. So never add up domains and sub-domains with duplicate content if there is a need for adding sub-domains then use fresh or unique content every time. These are just some of the basic quality guidelines clearly spelled out by Google.
