SEO NEWS” Natural Links Good, Paid Links, Bad

Friday, September 7th, 2012
“…The objective is not to “make your links appear natural”; the objective is that your links are natural.”
– Matt Cutts – mattcutts.com

This quote is from way before Panda and Penguin appeared on the scene. See, Google has been saying forever that buying links was just… wrong. But they didn’t enforce it, so no-one paid any attention.Google recently figured out HOW to detect paid links and started enforcing their long standing rule, and a lot of SEOs are screaming foul. Why? Because change is something to be feared, even if you’ve been told the change is coming for years.

Natural links are the cornerstone of good SEO, right next to content. Without solid linking  practices, you site will flounder and fail; and eventually Google will boot you to the curb.

Start panning for an organic link-building campaign and see results start to come your way. Otherwise, keep paying for links and see your short term results get even shorter and eventually result in penalties from the almighty GOOG.
